The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
The Sacrament of Marriage is a lasting commitment of a man and a woman to a lifelong partnership, established for the good of each other and the procreation of their children.
“Matrimony” is “the state or ceremony of being married”; “marriage” is “the legally or formally recognized union of two people; the state of being married.” “Holy Matrimony” is usually the word used for the sacrament of marriage in Christian churches that recognize it.
Marriage is the beginning—the beginning of the family—and is a life-long commitment. It also provides an opportunity to grow in selflessness as you serve your wife and children. Marriage is more than a physical union; it is also a spiritual and emotional union. This union mirrors the one between God and His Church.
In Ascension we conduct the sacrament of Holy Matrimony for couples who have gone through the processes and confirmed good to go. You could come to the Parish Office for more enquiries or call the Secretary on +234-8021-115-555
