Life and Dignity of the Human Person
The Catholic Church proclaims that human life is sacred and that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. This belief is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching.
The foundation of all Catholic Social Teaching is the inherent dignity of the human person, as created in the image and likeness of God. … The person represents the ultimate end of society. The social order and its development must invariably work to the benefit of the human person… not the other way around.
The Catholic Church believes that all human life begins at the moment of conception , and from that point has potential. This means Catholics believe that all life is sacred from the moment of conception. This is otherwise known as the sanctity of life.
Life is precious because it was given to us as a gift. … There are billions of souls on this planet just trying to make it in life and are so immersed in their goals or problems that they never actually stop to realize that they’re alive right now, but in Ascension we keep thanking God for life knowing all good things including life comes from HIM.
In our usual slogan, “THERE IS NO RECESSION IN ASCENSION”
