(MCA) SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES AT ASCENSION

At Ascension we engage both the adults and the children every Sunday before during and after Mass to build up their spiritual lives.
Ascension Children Sunday School
Our Parish Sunday School caters for children aged 2 – 14 years. It provides a forum for teaching these little precious ones using methods that translate the gospel message into the language of their very young age. These methods of instruction consist mainly of Holy mass, audio-visual aids, toys, Christian songs, and hymns etc.
CATHECISM
Catechism classes for children is to prepare them for the Sacraments.
This holds every Sunday after mass.  Children are required to attend classes continuously for a minimum of six months to qualify for the Sacrament.
Parents can register their children/wards in the Parish Office during the week, or at the Classes.
Bible and Doctrinal Class
The Parish ensures continuous formation of the parishioners through several programmes one of which is the twice monthly Bible/Doctrinal class within the mass.

We Love and Believe in God and We Observe Lenten Season also in Ascension.

The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man. The 14 devotions, or stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as we move from station to station. At each station, we recall and meditate on a specific event from Christ’s last day.
The stations are most commonly prayed during Lent on Wednesdays and Fridays and especially acted on Good Friday, the day of the year upon which the events actually occurred as we observe in Ascension too.
